Cancels and re-schedules appointments as necessary.
Ensures all patients sign in via our paper log.
Answers telephone.
Receives patient requests for appointments/information and changes.
Records all telephone messages accurately and transfers to appropriate person timely Handles routine requests from clinicians.
Keys in no shows daily.
Directs patients to appropriate waiting area Handles unscheduled patients with professionalism and empathy.
Promptly notifies appropriate clinician of patient's arrival.
Schedules return appointments for patient accurately.
Reviews DSR for appointment information Gives patient appointment card with next scheduled appointment and initials.
Protects and maintains the confidentiality of all records and patient information.
May perform quality assurance process as necessary.
Completes administrative review audits as necessary.
Makes copies, faxes documents and performs other related clerical duties as needed.

Accurately populate all fields as related to the admission process in the EHR system as related to the patient's insurance and guarantor rankings.
Research all patients that present with no insurance through Medicaid and Medicare eligibility sites.
Verifies all insurance eligibility and enters accurate information into EHR.
Accurately collects out-of-pocket costs (i.
e.
co-pays, deductibles and co-insurance).
Balances out cash box/drawer accurately (daily) and prepares deposit.
Adheres to all 5 Star Customer Service guidelines when dealing with Practice Management, Team Leader, co-workers and patients.
Qualifications High School graduate or the equivalent Use of standard office equipment including computers, photocopy and facsimile machines.
Basic medical and psychiatric terminology.
Previous medical/health front desk experience preferred.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
